Halloween & Fall

We had an interesting Halloween this year. It wasn't too cold, but it was wet and rainy! We had made plans to leave with the Martinez' around 5:00/5:30 to go trick-or-treating. We made it up there around 5:45. Just as we got out of the car, it started to POUR! Literally pour! We had an umbrella for everyone, but it was nuts. Dad got a work call at the last second, so he wasn't able to come right away. We left and brought Molly too, so I had all three of you I was trying to protect with the umbrella, Molly who was out of control hyper and pulling me in all directions, and our stroller that was broken and when we'd go over bumps or gutters it would collapse with Aubrey inside. It was seriously INSANE!!! I was going nuts not to mention the crazy rain and wind that was just pouring down. We made it to a couple houses on Sovereign, and a couple on Olympic, and decided to call it quits. At that time Dad was done with work stuff and met up with us at the car. We decided to drive to a few more homes in the neighborhood and then up to Abby Pohlman's Mom's house, Marsha Rogers to finish out our evening. Marsha dresses up at a witch every Halloween and has a brew on her front porch that has all sorts of crazy things in it (pickled tongue, worms, rat tails, mice, eye balls, etc.). You were a little scared of the snakes and rats and the witch brew, and of the werewolf (Max's uncle Chad dressed up as a werewolf). We went inside afterwords and ate a little Taco Soup and bread sticks (you ate Mac and Cheese!). You and Max played downstairs with toys for a couple hours while we watched the U game upstairs.

You were being a little shy at first and didn't want to get a picture. I tried to get you to put on your mask, but you weren't ready to do that yet!

Here you are in your mask. You had a Halloween Party at preschool, so this is just before you left for preschool at Mandy's.

If I would let you, you'd eat all your candy in one shot. You LOVE candy! I don't know if you love it as much as me (I don't know if anyone does!). I feel badly limiting you on eating it, but seriously if I didn't say "only three pieces" you'd eat every single piece until it was gone. I asked you what your favorite candy you got was, and you told me M&M's and your skeleton sucker.
You had decided on Iron Man long ago. I actually bought a few costumes and stashed them and asked you want you wanted to be, giving you a choice of Iron Man, Spiderman, or Mr. Incredible. You never changed your mind, it has always been Iron Man. You sure looked cute and grown up. You were even a trooper during the crazy rain. You really didn't complain at all! You didn't even ask to get in the stroller (which is unusual!). So although you didn't get as much candy as you could have, you still had a great night!

We went for a drive a few weeks ago to admire the fall colors. We tried our best to get some pictures of the everyone, however just as we got out of the car it started to rain (not to mention we had to wake you up) so we didn't get one of the three of you, but did get individual pictures. It was such a beautiful drive! We went up Payson Canyon and saw where Dad spent his summer scouting for Elk (and where he eventually got one). The colors were all so beautiful and bright. I wished the weather would have cooperated more so we could get more pictures.

You weren't too happy to pose for a picture. Can you see the raindrops on your sweatshirt? This was just before it started to down pour!
